Privacy Mindset

Our Approach

Nudge Buddy is built with privacy as a default, not an afterthought. We collect only what we need to make the app work for you, and nothing more.

What We Collect

• Account info: name and email address you provide at signup
• Your content: tasks, notes, calendar events, and workspace data you create
• Usage data: basic analytics to understand how features are used (no individual profiling)

What We Don't Do

• We don't sell your data
• We don't show you ads
• We don't build behavioral profiles
• We don't share your data with third parties except to run the service (e.g., hosting)

Voice & AI Features

Voice transcription happens locally in your browser using the Web Speech API — audio is not sent to our servers. To understand and answer your requests, the transcribed text, along with relevant context such as your tasks and (if connected) your Google Calendar events, is processed by Google Cloud Vertex AI (Gemini). Under Google Cloud's terms, Vertex AI does not use this data to train its models. We keep your conversation history with the assistant in your account so it can follow up on earlier requests; it is deleted when you delete your account. We never use your data to train AI or machine learning models.

Google Calendar

If you choose to connect Google Calendar, Nudge Buddy requests access to events on calendars you own. We use it only to show your upcoming events alongside your tasks, to let the voice assistant tell you what's on your calendar, and to create events when you add a task or reminder to your calendar. We don't modify or delete your existing events, and we don't sell this data, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone except as needed to provide these features. You can disconnect Google Calendar at any time from Settings → Integrations, or revoke access from your Google Account.

Nudge Buddy's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Raw or derived data received from Google APIs is never used to develop, improve, or train generalized AI or machine learning models.

Data Storage

Your data is stored on secure servers. We use encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. You can export or permanently delete your data at any time from Settings.

Cookies

We use only essential cookies to keep you signed in. No tracking cookies, no third-party cookies.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your data. Email us and we'll respond within 30 days.
